Pick a segment. Preview the recipients. Send. Opt-outs filtered automatically.
Most shops blast their list quarterly through Mailchimp ($20/mo) or BombBomb ($45/mo) or just the shop owner's personal phone (worst). SalesThumb's blast composer is built into the shop OS so segments are real-time (every customer + every service history) instead of a stale CSV. Pick a segment, preview the actual recipients, write the message, send. Opt-outs filtered automatically (smsOptOutAt + email unsubscribed). Reply-rate + revenue-attribution per blast so you know which segments + what copy actually worked.

Segments that update in real time
Other tools sync from your CRM nightly via webhook. SalesThumb's segments are live SQL queries against the shop's actual customer + service history tables, so 'dormant 90+ days' computes the moment you click the segment — not 24 hours stale. The recipient preview shows the actual count + sample names + the opt-out filter applied, so you see exactly who's about to get your message before you hit send.
- Live SQL — no nightly sync, no stale lists
- Recipient preview shows actual names + count + opt-outs filtered
- Custom segments saved per shop for re-use
- HQ tier: chain-wide segments (e.g. 'all VIPs across all shops')

Attribution that proves which blasts paid for themselves
Every recipient who replies, opens, or books an appointment within 14 days of a blast is attributed back to that blast in the analytics tab. So when you A/B-test a 'tint maintenance check' subject line vs 'time for your free re-check?', you see the actual booked-appointments + revenue lift per variant. Most shops kill their lowest-performing blast pattern within 60 days and double their reply rate.
- Per-blast: sent count, open rate, reply rate, booked rate, revenue attributed
- Per-segment: which segments actually convert (not just open) over rolling 30d
- Per-template: A/B test by saving template variants + diffing performance
- Push the winning template org-wide from HQ tier with one click

Who it's for
Built specifically for…
- Shops doing seasonal pushes (back-to-school tint, pre-summer ceramic)
- Shops with 200+ customer base who can't manually personalize each touch
- Multi-location chains who want consistent campaign quality across shops
What it replaces
The old way…
- Mailchimp + a stale CSV export from your CRM ($20/mo + nightly sync delay)
- BombBomb / personal-phone group texts (TCPA risk, no opt-out filter)
- 'Just shoot them all a text' from the shop owner's phone (no attribution, no cleanup)
How it works
Set it up once. Run it forever.
- 1
1. Pick a segment
Built-in: VIPs / new in 30d / dormant 90+ / last-tint-2yr-ago / by ZIP. Or build a custom segment with the filter UI (any combo of customer + history + tag fields).
- 2
2. Preview + write
Recipient preview shows count + sample names + opt-out filter applied. Write the message; AI can suggest 3 subject-line variants. Pick channel (SMS / email / both). Schedule for now or future drop.
- 3
3. Watch the attribution roll in
Live analytics: open rate, reply rate, booked rate, revenue attributed. Replies route into the unified inbox auto-tagged. Wins become saved templates.
How a shop actually uses this
Sample Shop LLC queued a Saturday-8am blast to 'dormant 90+ days' (218 recipients after opt-out filter). Subject: 'Your tint check-up is overdue — book a free 5-min inspection.' By Saturday noon: 31 replies, 12 booked appointments, $4,640 in revenue attributed within 7 days. Cost: $0.0075 per SMS × 218 = $1.64 sent, $4,640 returned. Mike now runs the dormant blast monthly. The segment auto-refreshes; the template stays the same.
Questions
Good to know.
- Will this get me in trouble with TCPA?
- Compliance is built in: STOP/UNSUBSCRIBE/CANCEL keywords are honored carrier-side; smsOptOutAt is filtered on every blast; 10DLC registration walks through SETUP.md section 4. The opt-out preview surfaces filtered counts so you know exactly who's getting a message and who's NOT.
- What's the deliverability vs Mailchimp?
- For SMS: identical (Twilio is the same backend most ESPs route through). For email: SalesThumb uses Resend which has comparable deliverability to Mailgun / SES; Mailchimp's edge is mostly in their template builder, not delivery. We default to text-first emails because they outperform HTML in service-business categories.
- How fast can I actually send to 1,000 recipients?
- 10DLC throttles at 1 msg/sec per messaging service by default — so 1,000 recipients takes ~17 minutes. Email goes faster (~2 minutes). For chains with multiple Twilio numbers across shops, parallel sending is automatic.
- Can I use my existing Twilio number?
- Yes — bring-your-own Twilio is supported. The SETUP.md walkthrough shows how to bind your existing messaging service. SalesThumb provisions a new one for you if you don't have one yet.
