- Is the VIN decoder free?
- Yes — we use the free NHTSA vPIC API. Decoded data (year, make, model, engine, body type) is cached so repeat lookups are instant.
- Can two customers share a vehicle?
- Yes. A vehicle can be linked to multiple customers (co-owners, fleet), and a single customer can have unlimited vehicles.
- Is there a customer or vehicle limit on any plan?
- No. Every plan includes unlimited customers and vehicles. We charge per seat, not per record, because we think you deserve to grow.
- How do I import from ShopMonkey or TintWiz?
- Export a CSV from your current tool, drop it into the import wizard, and we auto-map the columns. We've ingested files from dozens of ShopMonkey / TintWiz / Mavrik accounts — the mapper usually gets every column right. If not, fix the mapping in the preview, dedupe by phone, and commit.
- How long is data retained? Can I delete on request?
- Customer records are kept for the life of your account. Soft-deleted records are recoverable for 90 days. On written request (GDPR / CCPA) we hard-delete a customer and all attached vehicles within 48 hours and send you a confirmation receipt.
- Can customers see their own records?
- Optionally — the customer portal shows them their own quotes, invoices, warranty certificates, and photos. It's opt-in per customer (you control who gets a login).
