Premier Auto Spa is a Texas-based detail franchise with three locations: Dallas (HQ), Houston, and Austin. Owner Whitney Briggs had grown the business by opening one location at a time, each running its own software stack — a mix of ShopMonkey, square spreadsheet rollups, and a manual royalty reconciliation process that took the bookkeeper a full day per month.
The franchise model demanded better infrastructure. Whitney was planning to open a fourth location in San Antonio in Q3, and the operational debt of three different software stacks would make a fourth location untenable.
SalesThumb HQ consolidates the franchisor + franchisee operating model on one platform. Whitney configured the catalog at HQ (shared services, per-location pricing overrides within franchisor-defined floors), set up the royalty rate (6% of gross, monthly statements), and rolled out to each location in waves.
The rollout timeline:
- Days 1-3: Dallas HQ migrated. Catalog set up. Royalty rules configured.
- Days 4-7: Houston franchisee migrated. Customer + vehicle import. Training session for the Houston operator.
- Days 8-11: Austin franchisee migrated. Same playbook.
- Days 12-14: Whitney rolled out the HQ dashboard internally and trained her bookkeeper on royalty automation.
Two weeks in, all three locations were running on SalesThumb:
- Cross-location KPIs in the HQ dashboard from day one.
- Royalty calculation that used to take the bookkeeper 8 hours per month now takes 30 minutes (mostly to spot-check the auto-generated statement).
- Franchisee adoption hit 100% by week 2 — the operators preferred the new system to what they'd been using.
- San Antonio's fourth-location buildout is now scheduled to use SalesThumb from day one.
"The biggest win is that I can finally see what's happening across the network in real time," Whitney said. "Before, I'd find out about a slow week three weeks after it happened."
