Gold Coast Auto Aftermarket is one of those Florida shops that does tint, PPF, and ceramic in equal measure. Owner Marisa Beltran built the shop over 6 years from a tint-only origin into a full-service luxury car protection operation. The catch: she'd accumulated three separate tools to run the three verticals — TintWiz for tint, a paper-based PPF tracking system (because no software handled it well), and Square + a Notion database for ceramic.
The pain came at quote time. A customer rolling in with a new Tesla wanting Full PPF + ceramic + window tint had to receive three separate quotes from three different tools, with three different deposits, three different schedule confirmations, and three different warranty cards. Customer experience was rough. Internal admin was rougher.
Marisa migrated to SalesThumb in late 2025 specifically because it handled multi-vertical billing in a single invoice. The catalog setup took two days (rather than a few hours) because Gold Coast has 47 distinct services across the three verticals.
The unexpected result: cross-vertical attach rate jumped from 12% to 38%.
Why? Because the unified quote made it easy to upsell. When the front-desk operator was already in the quote builder for a tint package, adding ceramic was three clicks. Customers saw the combined price and the value of the bundle. About 40% of tint customers added at least one other service when offered.
Other wins:
- Average ticket grew from $1,100 to $1,550 over four months (41% lift).
- Software cost dropped from $720/mo (TintWiz + Square + Notion + assorted tools) to $349/mo (SalesThumb Pro). Net savings $4,452/year.
- Customer warranty experience consolidated — one warranty card listing all services, one number to call.
- Photo gallery per customer now spans all three verticals over time — a customer who got tint in 2024, ceramic in 2025, and PPF in 2026 has one continuous timeline.
"The single biggest unlock was the multi-vertical quote," Marisa said. "Once a customer saw what their car could look like with everything done, the deal size grew naturally. We weren't pushing harder — we were just making it easier."
Gold Coast is exploring HQ tier for a second Tampa location and a Sarasota expansion in 2027.
