Sign in
Use your normal SalesThumb login. SMS-code passwordless flow — enter your email, get a 6-digit code via SMS, enter it. Token expires in 30 days; you only re-auth when it expires.
First-time setup (1 minute)
After sign-in, the app asks: - Bay assignment — which bay you typically work in (can change per shift) - Notification preferences — push for new jobs assigned to you (recommended on) - Camera permissions — required for photo capture
Capturing your first install
1. Open the app — your assigned jobs for today appear at the top. 2. Tap a job to open the detail view. 3. As you work: - Update status: DROPPED OFF → IN PROGRESS → ON HOLD → READY → COMPLETED. Tap the status pill. - Capture photos: tap the camera icon. Per-panel photo prompts (paint, hood, windshield, etc.) guide you through the standard set. - Add notes: free-text notes attach to the job. - Sign for customer: at completion, customer signs on your phone screen to acknowledge work + warranty. 4. Tap "Complete" when done. SalesThumb generates the warranty PDF, the customer's tracker URL updates, and the photo gallery becomes shareable.
Offline mode
The app works offline — keep capturing photos and updating status even without signal. Everything queues locally and syncs when you reconnect. A small "Offline" indicator shows when you're disconnected; a "Syncing X items" indicator shows when uploads are in progress.
Tips
- Use the rear camera with flash off for paint photos — flash overexposes ceramic + film surfaces.
- Capture before AND after for every panel — it makes the gallery worth sharing.
- Add a one-line note for every install — helps reconstruction when a customer calls 6 months later asking about the work.
